July 13, 2010 Tyler - Mimi and I are reminiscing about you tonight. I found some old pictures of you when you were a little tot. I will save them to show your Mom and Dad someday. I took Mimi into Joel Pollack's website (Sue's son) to show her the power of a website that still is alive and teeming with life after 12 years. Joel died, a young man in the prime of his life,on Memorial Day weekend 12 years ago. You are missed. Love Aunt Ro ~ Rosemary Furia
February 08, 2010 Dear Steen Family, I am so very sorry to learn of Tyler's death. Tim Morrison sent me an email to tell me of this sad news. Although I have not met Tyler nor most of your family, my son Christian was very good friends with Ryan. Christian died in 2006 and several of his friends, including Ryan, sent some lovely flowers to his funeral. I can say that I know how you feel at this time. It is a terrific pain. Ryan (Steeno as Christian called you)-- I am so sorry you lost your brother. My thoughts are with you all. Sincerely, Carol Borders ~ Carol Borders, Eugene, Oregon |

December 19, 2009 Dear Steen family - Although we have never met, I want to add my condolences for your terrible loss. My daughter, who graduated Simsbury High School the same year as Tyler, came home from college yesterday and told me what had happened and how stunned and upset she and all her friends were. When I read about this incredible young man from none other than Guy Gilchrist, a lost treasure of Simsbury's as well, I felt that feeling of a caring town who has lost one of its own, an irreplaceable sparkle of a young man. We can never know why God chooses us to suffer such indescribable hardship, but please know that there are many, many people who suffer for you and for your loss. May God hold you in his hands and guide you during this awful time and know that so many others send their prayers so that you may find peace beyond your suffering. ~ Barbara Letson, Simsbury, Connecticut
December 19, 2009 Tina, Tom, Ryan, Corrie, Pops, Nonnie, and Uncle Mike- I too, have lost a family member. Tyler, was you know, too good for this world - a soul so explicitly kind, generous, and engaging. I am so happy for having known Tyler and feel as though he will be with us for the rest of our lives. God have mercy on Tyler and grant him favor in entering your kingdom where he can best take care of us here on earth. Auntie, Elaine ~ Elaine Lahey, Savannah, Georgia
